Dimitar Valkov will present our current paper "2D Touching of 3D Stereoscopic Objects" at this years CHI'11 Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems which will be held in Vancouver, BC on May 2011.
Frank Steinicke organizes in cooperation with Hrvoje Benko, Daniel Keefe and Jean-Baptiste de la RiviÍre the "T3D: Touching the Third Dimension" SIG Meeting at this year's CHI'11 Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.
We have finally updated our BARCO-Baron Workbench to support multi-touch interaction on the surface (DI) and above it (Microsoft Kinect).

Updated the design. Added two LED lighters. Now we have six.
Updated the design. We have changed the two high-power IR illuminators for four LED lighters. We can now cover the whole wall and have reduced reflection problems.
The multi-touch support for our 300x200cm polarisation stereo rear-projection wall is almost ready. Rear-DI of course!
A revisited and extended version of the multi-touch enabled Segway was presented by Dimitar Valkov on VRIC 2010 in Laval, France.
Gerd Bruder has presented the TechNote "A Multi-Touch enabled Human-Transporter Metaphor for Virtual 3D Traveling" on 3DUI 2010 in Waltham, Massachusetts USA.
We have finished building a TransparentProps mock-up. The mock-up is a 30x30cm FTIR enabled transparent acrylic plate, with 30 IR-LEDs on its side, and a wireless camera. It works great!
